Outdoor Patio Design

Estimated read time 4-5 minutes

Spring is here and that means patio season is officially here as well! There are so many offerings for outdoor living now, vibrant fabric options that are sunproof, rugs, artwork, and lamps that are also weatherproof. If you are looking to refresh your patio or do a complete overhaul we have some tips for you!

  1. It’s okay to keep the style from your inside space and carry it over to your outdoor patio but it is also okay to do something completely different. Don’t limit yourself.

  2. Consider what you will use the space for, such as family events, relaxation, gardening, entertainment, or all of the above. Whatever it is be sure to plan the space accordingly so it meets your needs.

  3. Small spaces can be Big! Don’t let the size of your outdoor space deter you from making it a big deal.

  4. Accessorize! There are so many beautiful accent pieces available for outdoor living areas, don’t be afraid to show off your personal style with them.

  5. Tell your story. Just like your indoor living space having something personal will only elevate your space. It could be a family heirloom piece transitioned to outdoor use or something that reminds you of a past experience with a loved one such as gardening with a parent or grandparent.

Outdoor living space is just as important as indoor living space. Some could argue it is more important allowing us to have a connection with nature which helps with our mental and physical well-being. Think of this space as an extension of your home not separate, allow yourself some creativity to create a place where you can relax and enjoy the life you have created.
