Our Trip to High Point Market
High Point Market, located in North Carolina is one of the largest events in our industry. It occurs twice a year, once in the spring and again during the fall. This gives everyone the opportunity to see what is new from favorite brands such as Hooker, Sam Moore, Robin Bruce and many more.
This year the whole A&M Home Furnishings Team went to the market and had such a great time. Here are a few things we learned & loved:
Gray: This color is not going anywhere! It is everywhere and is a great neutral, mixing with any color palette. Gray was showcased in so many ways, on walls, textiles, statement pieces and more. It really has earned its spot as a top-notch neutral.
Lots of Color: Bold colors, soft colors, neutral colors, all made an appearance not only in accessories but also larger pieces such as sofas and chairs. If you enjoy color let your creative spirit out. At the market, we encountered so many statement pieces such as gorgeous green sofas, red chairs, and lavender ottomans. All of which fit perfectly into their spaces. Bold colors are not going anywhere and are only growing in popularity.
Mix those Metals: Silver, bronze, gold, you name it they all go together and compliment one another perfectly. Gone are the days of picking one metal then sticking with it over your living space. Be adventurous with your metals, toss the old rules aside and go wild.
Rugs & Art: Accessories continue to be important yet simple. Large pieces have taken the place of several smaller pieces on bookshelves and tables. Having less clutter with the concentration on a statement piece or two is on trend.
While it was hard to close the store for a few days, taking the time to make the journey to High Point Market was worth it, allowing us to see new product lines and new pieces from our current lines. We loved seeing each showroom with its uniqueness, and the inspiration from everyone who works so hard to ensure the market is a success.
Below are a few fun pictures of us exploring the market, and enjoying ourselves!
